Who We Are

In Onda is not just the name of our company; it is our statement of intent.

Our Frequency

We were officially born as a Theatrical Association on January 2, 2026, but our story begins much earlier, behind the curtains of a parish theater and the desire to find a voice that was truly ours.

From roots to independence

Our core formed in 2021, in that suspended moment that was the post-Covid period. Within the Passi di Luce company in Castelfiorentino, under the direction of Niccolò Taddei and Jessica Pirrello, a group of young "veterans" began to experiment, grow, and raise the bar.

Year after year, we built a repertoire that challenged us:

  • Marcovaldo (2022): our poetic debut among Calvino's seasons.
  • The Dragon (2023-24): a complex challenge by E. Schwarz, performed in a tour of 9 dates between Florence and Siena.
  • Domino Effect (2025): our debut in the amateur season of Teatro del Popolo, followed by repeat performances that confirmed the strength of our group.

Growing together also means maturing a shared vision. After years of beautiful shared experiences and increasing success, we felt the desire to give an independent home to our creativity.

Thus arose the need to explore a fully secular, contemporary theater free from predetermined schemes. This choice of autonomy was not a break, but the necessary step to honor the journey made so far and allow our artistic identity to express itself without boundaries. In Onda APS is the result of this maturation: a space where our energy can flow toward new horizons, with the awareness of who we are and the curiosity about where we can go.

Why "In Onda"?

Our name contains our dual soul:

On the same wavelength

It represents our harmony. We are a group bound by deep friendship and a shared vision of theater. Without this connection, the signal is interrupted.

Flooding

We want to bring a breath of fresh air. In a theatrical landscape that sometimes risks monotony, we want to "flood" the stage and the audience with our energy, our vitality, and stories that speak to today.

Our Identity today

Today we are an independent reality, registered with RUNTS as a Social Promotion Association (APS) and affiliated with FITA. We are sailing at full speed, with the awareness that our strength lies in our autonomy and our desire to remain, indeed, always In Onda.
